The Gathering 2005 - 29/30/31 July

A Three day Feast of Traditional Music, Song and Dance.

A new look to our Folk Festival weekend, (formerly the Upper Wensleydale Gathering), we now have plenty of featured artists, with a varied collection of sing alongs and impromptu musical recitals throughout the weekend.

With two formal concerts, (rows of chairs etc), the emphasis is firmly on the Saturday outdoor event at the Bandstand with The Duncan McFarlane Band, followed by a concert in the Main hall with Julie Felix

Friday 29th - 'The Gathering night'

Music session in bar 1 and Singing in bar 2 from 5.30pm

Concert in the main hall from 8.00pm

Saturday 30th- 'The Blathering'

10.00am Guitar workshop in Bar 1

11.00am Dancing outside with Flash Co

11.30am Music session in Bar 2

12.30pm Singer session in Bar 1

2.00pm Concert at the Bandstand (Main hall if wet) with Duncan McFarlanen Electric Band

Sessions continue in the Bar rooms

8.00pm Concert in the Main hall with Julie Felix

Sunday 31st - 'The Scattering'

11.00am Dancing outside with Kitchen Taps Appalachian

12.00 noon Musisians and Singers sessions in the bars
