The Current Innkeeper, D. Mark Thompson, together with his partner, Yvonne Lovett, took possesion the Green Dragon Inn in December 2001.

I was born out of two generations of Yorkshire innkeepers and brewers (although Mother`s side eventually succumbed and signed the pledge) and have been involved with the Dales licensed trade for over thirty three years, owning or running premises in Wharfdale, Wensleydale and Swaledale - all independent of brewers tie.

I hope that you will share with me the view that The Green Dragon is such a unique survival of yesteryear that great care is being taken, in the course of its restoration, to ensure that the traditions and character of this ancient inn are not sacrificed.
